Description:
When a reservation is canceled, the conversation in Sparrow Intel does not indicate how it was canceled. The cancellation type matters operationally, because the next steps differ depending on who canceled β a guest cancellation, a host cancellation, and an admin/platform cancellation each trigger a different workflow. Today, agents have to open the reservation in the OTA to determine the cancellation type, which adds an investigation step to every canceled booking.
For example, when a reservation shows as canceled, an agent needs to know whether the guest canceled, the host canceled, or the OTA canceled it on the platform's side, because an admin or host cancellation usually requires the team to investigate why before taking next steps.
Requested Enhancement:
Benefit:
Showing the cancellation type in Sparrow would let agents immediately understand the nature of a cancellation and follow the correct workflow without leaving the platform, reducing investigation time and the risk of mishandling cancellations that require follow-up.
